1. Data controller

The party responsible for this website and the data collected through it is Inversiones Maxitours S.A.S. (Viajes Maxitours), based in Medellín, Colombia. You can contact us at viajesmaxitours@hotmail.com.

This policy complements our Personal Data Processing Policy, prepared in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013.

2. What data we collect

• Booking data: name, ID document or passport, country and city of origin, WhatsApp number, email, meeting point or hotel, and details of the people traveling with you.
• Contact forms: name, mobile number, tour of interest, number of people and date. This data is sent to our WhatsApp line.
• Browsing data: technical information such as device type, browser, pages visited and traffic source, collected through cookies (see the Cookie policy).

3. What we use it for

• Managing, confirming and coordinating your bookings.
• Contacting you before, during and after the tour by WhatsApp, phone or email.
• Processing travel insurance for passengers.
• Issuing invoices when applicable and meeting legal obligations.
• Measuring and improving how the site and our campaigns work, always according to your cookie preferences.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only send promotional information if you expressly authorize it.

4. Who we share it with

We share only the strictly necessary data with providers that make the service possible: insurers (travel insurance), local attractions and operators, our web hosting provider, the messaging platform we use for WhatsApp support, and measurement tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads.

5. How long we keep it

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet applicable legal, accounting and tax obligations.

6. Your rights

As the data subject you can access, update, correct and delete your data, revoke your authorization and file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC). To exercise these rights, write to viajesmaxitours@hotmail.com stating your name, ID and request.

7. Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information against loss, misuse or unauthorized access.

8. Minors

Data of minors is only processed when they travel with their father, mother or guardian, who provides it for the booking and travel insurance.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version will always be published on this page.
